 Tami Haaland has taught at Montana State University-Billings since 1994.

Professional: Tami Haaland's first collection of poetry, Breath in Every Room, was chosen from over 800 entries to win the Nicholas Roerich Prize from Story Line Press. Her poetry and nonfiction have appeared in Calyx, 5AM, The Florida Review, Rattapallax, and other journals, as well as in several anthologies, including Best of Pif Off-line (a selection from Pif Online Magazine), and Ring of Fire: Writers of the Yellowstone Region. Tami teaches a variety of creative writing classes at MSU-B, including fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. She is in the process of designing an online introduction to creative writing.

Education: Tami has a B.A. and M.A. in English Literature from the University of Montana, and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing and Literature from Bennington College.

Personal: Tami and her husband, Jim Bradley, have two children: Philip, in sixth grade, and Nathan, in first grade.
