Ellen Greenblatt is currently on leave from University High School in San Francisco where she has taught since 1991. She has also taught in public schools in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York.

Professional: Ellen is a recent member of the AP Test Development Committee and of the SAT II Literature Test Development Committee, and she conducts workshops for teachers. Most recently, she has worked with teachers in Maryland, Hawaii, California and at International Teachers' Conferences in Bangkok and the Hague. She has also worked with teachers of English in Vietnam and teaches an online course for teachers for UCLA Extension. In addition to the usual array of English courses, Ellen has developed and teaches an elective called The Legacy of Vietnam, which includes American, Vietnamese, and Vietnamese-American literature.

Education: Ellen has a bachelor's degree from Cornell University, where she majored in English. She has a master's degree from Yale University.

Personal: Ellen is originally from New York, but has lived in California for her entire adult life. She has 2 sons. In her spare time, Ellen swims, hikes, reads, goes to plays and movies, travels, listens to music and hangs out with friends.
