Patrick Manning is Professor of History and African-American Studies at Northeastern University in Boston.

Professional Experience:
Patrick is the author of Slavery and African Life and other studies of Africa and the African diaspora, and led a team in producing Migration in Modern World History 1500-2000, an instructional CD-ROM. As Director of the World History Center at Northeastern, he leads a doctoral program in world history. Patrick is a member of the AP World History Development Committee.
