About the Presenter Renee Shea has been an AP Reader and consultant to the AP Program for more than 30 years. She is currently the English language content adviser to AP Central® and was the editor of the last two sets of workshop materials for AP English Language and Composition (on the topics of rhetoric for the 2004-05 school year and writing persuasively for 2005-06). Shea co-authored Teaching Nonfiction in AP English: A Guide to Accompany 50 Essays with Larry Scanlon and Amy Tan in the Classroom: The Art of Invisible Strength with Deborah Wilchek. She is a professor of English and modern languages at Bowie State University.
