Dr. Rosalind Pijeaux Hale is an associate professor and chair of the Division of Education at Xavier University of Louisiana. Professional Experience: Dr. Hale has 21 years of public school experience. She has been a mathematics and science teacher, an instructional specialist, a computer trainer, a high school assistant principal, and a middle school principal. She has been in higher education for over 10 years. She has published articles on middle school education, diversity, and women in educational leadership in national professional journals. She serves on a variety of professional boards including AACTE, the Southern Region of the College Board, and the School Leadership Center of Greater New Orleans. She is currently chair-elect for Research in Women in Education (RWE), a special interest group (SIG) of AERA. Education: Dr. Hale received a B.S. in mathematics and physics from Xavier University of Louisiana, an M.A. in secondary education from the University of South Alabama, and an Ed.D. in educational leadership from Auburn University. She has participated in a variety of professional development activities including a fellowship to attend the Salzburg Seminar in Salzburg, Austria. Personal: Dr. Hale enjoys traveling, being with friends, watching movies, and listening to music. She serves on the Board of Managers for the National Educational Foundation of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. |
