Raúl Acero

Raúl Acero is Professor of Art at Warren Wilson College in Asheville, North Carolina.

Professional Experience: Before joining the faculty at Warren Wilson, Raúl taught sculpture and was chair of the Art Department at the University of Redlands in Redlands, California. He was Artist in Residence at the Studio Museum in Harlem and a recipient of an Artists Fellowship from the New York State Council on the Arts. Raúl's work is included in many private and public collections including the Studio Museum in Harlem, El Instituto de Cultura de Puerto Rico, and the Asheville Art Museum. Most recently he wrote a book for beginners on making ceramic sculpture published by Lark Books.

Education: Raúl has a bachelor's of fine art from the State University of New York at Fredonia and an M.F.A. from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
