Workshop Events: Sponsored and/or Endorsed Events

  Related Definitions

The “Institutes and Workshops” area of AP Central includes many professional development opportunities, some of which are managed and/or endorsed by the College Board. Please see the definitions below for additional information.

Public
Public events are managed by the College Board and are open registration for anyone interested in attending.

Private
Private events are delivered by the College Board to specific customers, such as a school or district. Attendees for private events are determined by the customer.

Endorsed Institutes
Endorsed institutes are managed individually by staff at the sponsoring institution. Endorsed institutes have signed an agreement with the College Board to ensure quality and consistency among the locations, which includes the use of College Board-endorsed consultants and College Board materials.
