AP Calculus: Using the FRQ's in the Classroom

AP Calculus: Using the FRQs in the Classroom
January 15, 2008
6:30 p.m.–8:30 p.m. Eastern Time

The deadline for registration is January 7, 5 p.m. Eastern Time.

If the workshop reaches its maximum capacity, upon your request you will be included in our waiting list.

About the Event
During this two-hour, interactive seminar, teachers will focus on recent AP® Calculus exams’ free response questions (FRQs) to become skilled in their application to classroom instruction. Come work with the problems that proved most challenging for students, learn strategies to prepare students for “non-traditional” problems which require a genuine understanding of the concepts of calculus, and take away tools to enhance your AP-level calculus instruction.

About the Presenter
John F. Mahoney teaches at Benjamin Banneker Academic High School, a public school in Washington, DC. He is a former reader, table leader, question leader, and exam leader at the AP Calculus Reading. He was inducted into the National Teachers Hall of Fame in 2005.
