Syllabus Development GuidesNew!
These redesigned subject-specific documents contain multiple samples of evidence for each requirement, illustrating the variety of ways curricular requirements can be met in a syllabus. They also contain the evaluation guidelines used by AP Course Audit reviewers to gauge how the evidence presented in syllabi meets specific curricular requirements. Further, they define key terms in the requirements and provide specific references to relevant text in the AP Course Descriptions.
Annotated Sample Syllabi Four sample syllabi per course have been written by AP teachers who teach in the public or private sector and by college professors who teach the parallel college-level course. The sample syllabi are selected by the AP Course Audit’s senior reviewers as examples that clearly model the presentation of evidence for each requirement. Collectively, these syllabi illustrate a variety of ways a course can meet the AP Course Audit curricular requirements.
