Briefly define the nature of your concentration project.
The series focuses on contrasting shapes, colors, and textures, and the way they can be selectively framed to create a photograph. I was first drawn to each scene because of the vibrant contrasting colors and I then tried to find the point or portion where all of the aesthetic elements completed each other as they came together.

Briefly describe the development of your concentration project and the sources of your ideas. You may refer to specific slides as examples.
A 90-degree turn began the start of this series. Alone and waiting I stood staring at my feet in the back of a parking lot. As a car drove closely by me I stepped back and looked up to get out of the way. Upon looking up, I was faced directly toward the side of a building. As soon as I looked up I saw a scene -- a scene of colors, textures, forms, and shapes that to me was just waiting to be photographed. This scene began my proposal for the series I developed.

What medium or media did you use?
For my series I first used slide film to take photographs. I then scanned in each picture and edited them with Adobe Photoshop. After editing each photograph, I printed them on semi-gloss paper using an ink jet printer.
