Briefly define the nature of your concentration project.
Figures in groups fascinate me. As people move around and relate to one another, the composition changes. Spaces between people become important. Through improvisation, I caught a fleeting moment.

Briefly describe the development of your concentration project and the sources of your ideas. You may refer to specific slides as examples.
I was drawn to people in groups. Many times I worked an event I'd been to -- school events, concerts, and my classrooms. Toward the last pieces I found myself using more expressive line, and abstract shape.

What medium of media did you use?
With almost all of the pieces in my concentration, I used mixed media. I took out a box of art supplies from my closet, and usually sampled everything in the box. Acrylics, oil pastels, china marker, highlighters, oil paints, markers, gesso, charcoal, and crayons were all media that I used freely. Experimentation was key in my concentration and helped me develop my own style of expressing the figure.
