Briefly define the nature of your concentration project.
For my concentration I developed a series of sculptures whose purpose is to manipulate light, therefore casting an intense shadow.

Briefly define the development of your concentration and the sources of your ideas. You may refer to specific pieces as examples.
I got the original idea for my concentration from looking at cut-paper lanterns. My concentration started out with the main focus being the negative space and how that affects the shadow that is being cast. As my concentration developed, the sculptures became more abstract and less focused on the effect of the shadow.

What media did you use?
To construct these sculptures I used aluminum sheet metal. I cut the metal using an Exacto™ knife and then put them together using rivets.
