The AP Studio Art 2-D Design Portfolio

Newly Expanded AP Studio Art Sample Portfolios Site!

The newly expanded AP Studio Art Sample Portfolios Site features students' works submitted as part of 2-D Design, 3-D Design, and Drawing portfolios in 2015. A range of Concentration (Sustained Investigation), Breadth (Range of Approaches), and Quality (Selected Works) sections from each portfolio type are presented, along with the students' concentration statements, scores for each section, and scoring rationales.

Assessment Overview: Studio Art 2-D Design

In early May, students submit actual works and digital images of works for their 2-D Design Portfolios. These works should demonstrate artistic growth and development.

All portfolios are assessed by at least two highly experienced studio art educators (AP Studio Art teachers or higher education faculty) who apply standard scoring criteria, with respect to the forms and content.

Complete descriptions of all the Studio Art portfolios can be found in the AP Studio Art Course Description (.pdf/1MB).
