Exam Reports

How and When Grades Are Announced

After AP Exams are graded at the AP Reading, reports are sent to students, their schools, and their prospective colleges in July. The recommendations of the American Council on Education (ACE) aid colleges and universities in interpreting their reports.

Teachers also receive the Report to AP Teachers, which compares the performance of their AP students with that of the total AP student group. In addition, the College Board produces the National and State Summary Reports that show how students performed on the AP Exams.

The confidentiality of student grade reports should be recognized and maintained by all individuals who have access to them.
