After the AP Exams are scored and graded, an AP Grade Report for each student is sent to schools automatically. The report includes the grade earned for each AP Exam the student took in the current year. It also lists the grades the student received on AP Exams taken in prior years. It does not include any grades that the student may have requested to be withheld.
Each school also receives a cumulative roster of all students, rosters of all students by subject, and the Report to AP Teachers for each exam taken by five or more students.
School District Reports
A Summary Reporting Service, which is offered to school systems and state departments of education, reports AP Exam grades for all subjects by school and may be ordered for a nominal fee. These reports also provide data on grade level, ethnic group, gender, and other comparative information (district versus state versus region versus global).
School districts may order a district version of the Report to AP Teachers or a duplicate of the individual school reports for a fee.
The confidentiality of student grade reports should be recognized and maintained by all individuals who have access to them.
