Exam Reports: College Report

How Grades Are Reported to Colleges

Students indicate the college to which they want their AP Grade Report sent at the time of the AP Exam administration. Grade reports are sent automatically to those colleges in July (in paper, disk, or tape format). Each report includes the grade earned for each AP Exam the student took in the current year. It also lists the grades the student received on AP Exams taken in prior years. It does not include any grades that the student may have requested to be withheld.

Colleges are asked to let secondary schools know what decisions they have made about awarding Advanced Placement and credit to their students by filling out the form attached to the AP Grade Report and sending it to the schools.
