Calculus with Compass and Straight Edge?
Let's go back to the "old days" for this month's problem. Given the graph of a parabola (of the form , where a, b, and c are unknown) on a scaled grid:

(A) Construct with compass and straight edge.
(B) Let be any point on the parabola. Use this point to construct a and with compass and straight edge.

Hint: Think symmetric difference quotient with h = 1.

Do all four parts of the question before checking the answers and explanation!
