Trade-Offs and Decision Making

Major Environmental Laws
This is a list of 15 major environmental laws with a synopsis describing the intent of each law. There are links to definitions and others items that may need further clarification. This would be a good place to find review information before the AP Exam.

Perspectives on the Environment: DBQ Exercises for AP Exam Practice
The first activity is a variation of an old problem of making priorities when it comes to selecting materials to solve a problem. I use the next three problems, as they are true document-based questions that fit very well into our curriculum. They all involve reading passages and then formulating arguments based on the readings. The Web site is from a course at Rutgers University and is designed for group presentations, but the problems can be easily altered. I usually do them as a written assignment to simulate AP Exam questions.
